Janice Kay Fisher, 78, of Christiansburg passed away Sept. 26, 2024, at her home.
She was born in Saltville, Virginia on Mar. 31, 1946, to the late Leon and Blanche Caywood Venable. She was a member of Harbor of Hope Pentecostal Holiness Church. Since retiring she enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband of 52 years, Larry Dean Fisher; son and daughter-in-law, Steven and Carla Fisher; daughters and son-in-law’s, Shannon and Mark Sisson; Angie and Brent Jacobs; grandchildren, Michael Gathings Tori (Josh) Willis, Justin Fisher, Kyndell (Jessie) Buzzard, Morgan (Seth) Wills, Dakota Sisson, Carsyn Sisson, Kaitlyn Jacobs, Noah Jacobs, and Maddox Jacobs; great-grandchildren, Cadence, Wyatt, Phoebe, Aryana, and Jaxon; sister, Joyce Ratliff; uncle, Eddie Caywood; and niece Robin Gilliam.
God and family were the most important part of her life. Janice has blessed so many with her sweet and fun-loving personality. She was full of joy and love and never failed to make you laugh.
Funeral services were conducted Tuesday, Oct. 1, 2024, at 6 p.m. in the Harbor of Hope Pentecostal Holiness Church with the pastor Craig Reed officiating. A visitation will be held from 5-6 p.m. prior to the service.
