Clara Mae Baker Fisher, 94, of Radford, passed away Wednesday, March 1, 2017. She was a member of Gethsemane Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Henry Fisher in 1992.
Survivors include her sons and daughters-in-law, Earl Fisher of Radford, Dale and Norma Fisher of Knoxville, Tennessee, and Ronnie and Linda Fisher of Forest; daughters and sons-in-law, Karen and William Sampson of Max Meadows, Susan and Tim Adkins of South Point, Ohio, and Linda and Michael Roop of Dublin; 14 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and two great great-grandchildren; and special caregivers, Kirsten McBride and Lori Bennett.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to the doctors, nurses and staff of Radford Health & Rehab, NRV Medical Center, Roanoke Memorial Hospital and Good Samaritan Hospice for their compassion and care for our mother during this difficult time. The family will receive friends from 12-2 p.m. on Saturday, March 4, 2017 at Gethsemane Baptist in Radford. Funeral services will begin at 2 p.m. with Pastor Jerry Gibson and Pastor Dan Lawson officiating. Interment will follow in Sunrise Burial Park in Radford.
