RADFORD – More than 100 people turned out Saturday for Radford’s first Pride March in support of the LGBTQ+ community.
The crowd gathered at the Radford Public Library on Saturday evening and walked on the sidewalk to the Radford administration building that houses the city manager’s office and the Radford Police Department, taking a group photo and pausing for conversation and fellowship at the end of the march.
The RADical Change Commission spearheaded the march “to celebrate love and the incredible courage it takes” and “in recognition to our LGBTQ+ friends and neighbors, their advocates and allies, and our unified commitment to love at all costs.”
