Fred Dean Fain, 64, of Blacksburg made it to the finish line on Thursday, May 30, 2019 at his home. He was born in Montgomery County, VA on December 8, 1954 to the late Arnold and Susan Fain. He was also preceded in death by three brothers, Manuel, Edgar and John Fain. He was an avid fan of Nascar especially, Davey Allison, and also a diehard Hokie. Fred loved trout and catfishing. He is survived by his wife, Brenda Fain; sons and daughter-in-law, Lee and Robin Fain, Luke Fain; grandchildren, Lee Neal Fain, Christopher Jayden Fain, Lilly Grace Rose Fain, Addison Kaylee Nicole Fain, McKinleigh Sue Fain; sisters and brother-in-law, Elizabeth and Bob Smith, Patsy Sorrell; sisters-in-law, Mary Fain, Linda Fain, Carlene Fain; special nephew, Rob Fain; special niece, Tammy Fain Phosarath; several nieces and nephews. The family wishes to thank Melissa Fain for all her help during this difficult time. Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, June 6, 2019 at 6 p.m. in the McCoy Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Bob Goldstein officiating. The family will receive friends from 5-6 prior to the service at McCoy Funeral Home, Blacksburg.
