Eastern Montgomery High School’s boys soccer team made an appearance in the state Class 1 title game and finished as the 2025 runner ups.
Talen Bruce of Eastern Montgomery was named the player of year, while Auburn coach Kris Teaford was named coach of the year after leading the Eagles to the region championship.
Six players from Eastern Montgomery were named to the region first-team including Bruce. He was joined by Osman Amaya, Spencer Sisson, Cyrus Underwood, Caleb Sampson and Chase Bierman.
Eastern Montgomery’s Kevin Mateo, Parker Wonner and Aija McHone were named to the second team.
Auburn had five first-teamers including Jared Bradley, Cole Jones, Jude Miear, Ethan Rosenbaum and Ethan Board. Ethan Sutphin was named to the second team.
