Charles Steve DiRico Sr., 63, of Pulaski, passed away peacefully on May 26, 2018 at Lewis Gale Montgomery Regional Hospital in Blacksburg.
His son Charles Jr. was by his side. Charles Sr. was best known as “Tiny.” He was given that name at 16, as he was beginning in the car sales and repair business. He continued that work until a few years ago, when he began struggling with multiple health issues. Tiny was a fun-loving person who always made others laugh. He was also a committed servant of the Lord, especially through selflessly giving to others and by offering powerful prayers.
Tiny was preceded in death by his father Carl DiRico Sr., his mother Ellon DiRico, brothers Carl DiRico Jr., and Roger DiRico.
He is survived by his son Charles DiRico Jr. of Charlotte, NC, Charles Jr.’s mother Debbie VanDyke of Inman, SC, stepmother Viola Nolen (Clarence) of Riner, and brothers Billy Caldwell (Susan) of Riner, Donald DiRico of Pembroke, Tommy DiRico of Pembroke, and Frederick Lyons of Detroit, MI.
Funeral Services were held at 2p.m., Thursday, May 31, at Horne Funeral Home in Christiansburg with Rev. Randy Jarrells and Charles Jr. officiating. Family and friends gathered at Horne Funeral Home Tonight, Wednesday, May 30, from 6-8 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be made in memory of Tiny to the Cowboy Church of Pulaski, 520 E Main St, Pulaski, VA 24301. Online condolences may be made at www.hornefuneralservice.com.
