Nathern Harvey (Buford) Dickerson, 75, passed away Tuesday, Nov. 21, 2017 at his daughter’s home in Princeton, West Virginia. Buford was born July 5, 1942 in Montgomery County, Virginia to the late William and Icie (Martin) Dickerson.
He was preceded in death by his wife he loved dearly, Helen (Bryant) Dickerson. Buford lived in Montgomery County all his life and retired from the Town of Christiansburg. He was the last of his immediate family. He is survived by his two daughters, Sandra (Dickerson) Wade and husband, Roger of Princeton, WV., Alice Dickerson and spouse, Dale Drouillard of Christiansburg, VA., special grandson(son) who he raised Lee Wheeling of the home. He also had seven other grandchildren he loved so much, Lewis (Willie) Dickerson of Christiansburg, VA., Scott Radford Jr., Christiansburg, Harley Dickerson and Chloe Crowder of Princeton, WV., Kelli, Courtney and Kassie Curry of Burlington, NC., seven great grandchildren, Nate, Claiton, James, Issiah, Lily, Maddy and Taelynn, several nieces and nephews, special sister in-law, Dorothy Dickerson of Christiansburg, VA, special friends, Angie and Kim.
Funeral services were conducted on Nov. 24, 2017 at in the McCoy Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Phillip Martin and Rev. Randy Woolwine officiating. Interment followed in the Linkous Family Cemetery, Merrimac, Va.
The family received friends prior to the service. Absent in body, but present in spirit… 1 Corinthians 5:3.
