BLACKSBURG – A construction worker has died and another injured on the campus of Virginia Tech as the result of a fall Wednesday, according to Virginia Tech.
“At approximately 11 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 6, one construction worker died, and another was injured as a result of a fall at the wind tunnel renovation project adjacent to the former Randolph Hall located on Virginia Tech’s Blacksburg campus,” the university announced. “Because campus construction sites are under the control of the contractor, the two workers involved are not university employees, and the incident remains under investigation, the university has no further information regarding the incident at this time. Virginia Tech extends its deepest condolences to the family of the deceased worker.”
