Community Foundation of the New River Valley will host a Celebration of Giving at Sinkland Farms Brewery (3020 Riner Road) the evening of Sept. 17 from 5:30 – 8 p.m.

In an announcement of the event, the Community Foundation invites everyone to join Foundation donors, volunteers, businesses, and community leaders for a celebration of giving in the New River Valley.

“Join us for a fun and relaxing evening at Sinkland Farms Brewery to celebrate the hundreds of donors who support the New River Valley through the Community Foundation,”

The evening will recall the numerous grants, scholarships, and programs were made possible in the past year with support from donors. Donors Drs. Norman and Nancy Eiss and Dr. Harold McNair will be honored.

Their generous gifts have provided critical home repairs, afterschool activities, and nutritious food to families in need along with leadership development opportunities for dozens of nonprofit organizations.

An early evening reception (5:30pm-6:30pm) will open the celebration and dinner and a program will be presented from 6:30 pm-8 pm with music provided by blues band Chickenwings and Gravy.

Proceeds benefit The Fund for the NRV at the Community Foundation and tickets run $50 per person for dinner and a drink ticket. Additional beer and wine is available for purchase.
