The Town of Blacksburg and CHA Consulting, Inc., will perform smoke testing in the upper Harding Sewershed during the week of Sept. 9 and Sept. 16. The area within the Harding Sewershed that will be impacted by this work includes the Apperson Park development and Windsor Hills. During this work, citizens may see smoke coming out of the ground, and occasionally, when household plumbing is not in conformance with code, smoke may enter residences. For this reason, CHA will place informational door hangers at residences that may be affected several days in advance of the testing.
