Commencement held for Radford High Class of 2024

RADFORD – Inclement weather led the Radford High School Class of 2024 commencement ceremony to move from Bobcat Stadium to the Ken Bondurant Auditorium on the campus of Radford University Friday evening, May 25.

The graduating class arrived by bus to the auditorium, where their family members and friends awaited their arrival. Student speeches were made by Class President Isabella Calfee, Valedictorian Adalynn Ruth Turner and co-Salutatorians Elijah Goff and Maxwell Kanipe.

The Commencement speaker, who is chosen each year by the students, was Social Studies teacher John Furgeson. Welcome remarks were also given by Superintendent Dr. Adam Joyce and RHS Principal Ken Keister.

Turner, who has a GPA of 4.4667, plans on attending William and Mary. Her major is undecided.  Goff has a GPA of 4.3103. He plans on attending UVA with a major in business. Kanipe has a GPA of 4.3103. H plans on attending NC State with a major in Mechanical Engineering.
