RADFORD – The City of Radford is looking for citizens to get involved in local government by serving on boards and commissions.
The city has any number of boards and commissions that guide the city’s operations, and city officials are seeking citizen representatives to serve on those boards and commissions.The following organizations have members whose terms are coming to an end and thus have positions that will need to be filled:
Agency on Aging (two openings), one-year appointments ending 6/30/2023.
Airport Commission (one opening), a four-year appointment ending 6/30/2026.
Economic Development Authority (two openings), four-year appointments ending 6/30/2026.
Library Board (two openings), four-year appointments ending 6/30/2026.
Library Board teen rep (one opening), a one-year appointment ending 6/30/2023.
Recreation Commission (two openings), three-year appointments ending 6/30/2025.
Building Code Board of Appeals (one opening), a one-year appointment ending 6/30/2023.
City/University Joint Advisory Commission (City Rep) (one opening), a one-year appointment ending 6/30/2023.
Tourism Commission (two openings), two-year appointments ending 6/30/2024.
Planning Commission (three openings), four-year appointments ending 6/30/2026.
Beatification Commission (four openings), three-year appointments ending 6/30/2025.
