RADFORD – The City of Radford is reminding residents to be careful of what they put in the sewer system.
“Citizens are reminded to watch what is put into the sanitary sewer,” the city’s statement reads. “The blockage could be in your home. The Water/Wastewater Department is finding an increasing number of adult diapers, disposable mop heads, clothing items, baby wipes, plastic applicators, sanitary napkins, etc. in the sewer system. These items are not allowed to be disposed of through the sanitary sewer system.”
