Radford Wesleyan Church moving sale Friday and Saturday

Radford Wesleyan Church (1300 Second St.) is hosting a moving sale Friday, Sept. 22 and Saturday, Sept. 23.

Some of the items for sale include 16 channel PA system, communion table, flags, seasonal decorations, Bibles, hymnals, craft items, TVs and stands, DVD players, CD players, vacuum sweepers, area carpets, nursery furniture, kitchen supplies, electric keyboard, video player, chairs and more.

New Mount Olive fish fry Saturday

New Mount Olive United Methodist Church (309 Russell Ave.) is hosting a fish fry in Radford from 11 a.m.-4 p.m. Saturday.

Dinners are $7 including two pieces of deep fried fish, baked beans, coleslaw, rolls and desert. Fish sandwiches are $5. For call-in orders or delivery call the church 639-6425. The fish fry is sponsored by the United Methodist Men of New Mount Olive.

First Baptist Church special program Sunday

First Baptist Church (555 West Rock Road) is hosting its Men’s Day Program with the theme being the “upright man.” The preacher for the occasion will be Rev. Dwight O. Steele Sr. as well as the choir and congregation from Pilgrim Baptist Church in Roanoke. The public is welcome and the program begins at 4 p.m.
