Carter Stallard, who is the class 2025, has made his decision to play football at the next level at a place he calls home, Virginia Tech. The 6-8, 315 pounder announced Monday he was committing to play in his own backyard.
Stallard said Virginia Tech is home.
“Coach (Brent) Pry is building something special at Tech and I want to be a part of that,” he said.
He has been named the all-county/all-city lineman of the year, while garnering second team all-state this past season.
Because of his size and wingspan, he has been recruited heavily by schools from around the country. Stallard is listed as a three-star prospect and the Number 18, 2025 recruit in the state of Virginia. He had offers from Pittsburgh, Maryland and Louisville.
Stallard is also looking forward to working with Tech offensive line coach Ron Crook. “I believe he can help develop me into a great college level offensive lineman. My best play is yet to come and I’m excited about that.”
Stallard also shines in the classroom with a 3.89 grade point average. He hopes to major in business with a future career in coaching.
