Charlie Bascom Weeks, 79, of Blacksburg, died Saturday, Nov. 19, 2022, at Heritage Hall Blacksburg.
He was born in Russell County, Va. on June 19, 1943, to the late Dewey and Artie Kegley Weeks. He is also preceded in death by brothers Guy, Raymond, and Willie; and sisters Frances, Margie, and Leona.
He is survived by his wife of 57 years Frances Cupp Weeks; brother-in-law Everett Scott Cupp and wife Colleen; nephews John Weeks and wife Kimberly, Kyle Bascom Cupp, and Ryan Cupp; sister Mary Weeks Musick; and numerous extended family.
Charlie was a longtime member of the Episcopal Faith. He served six years in the Army Reserves. He retired from the Arsenal after 35 years of dedicated service. He was also an advocate and fierce supporter of the feline population.
Charlie was a quiet, dapper gentleman, and he will be missed.
