Charles “Fuzzy” Williams Akers, 83, of Dublin, passed away Saturday, March 5, 2022.

He was a truck driver for over 50 years. He was preceded in death by his parents, Orville and

Mabel Akers; a daughter, Susie Quesenberry; a brother, Dockie Akers; and a sister, Carolyn

Akers.

Survivors include his daughter and son-in-law, Kim and J. D. Owens; son Eddie and

Stephanie Akers; the mother of his children, Carole Akers; grandchildren Sunshine

Quesenberry, Tre′ Owens (Meagan), Caitlyn Winemiller (Amy), and Koy Winemiller

(Becca); five great-grandchildren; brother and sister-in-law Wayne and Sharon Akers; and

many other relatives and friends.

The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. until noon today, Saturday, March 12, 2022, at

the Childress Church of God. Memorial services will begin at noon with Pastor Ronald

Smith officiating. Interment will follow in the Newbern Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, please consider contributions to St. Judes Children’s Hospital.

The Akers family is in the care of Mullins Funeral Home and Crematory in Radford.
