Music, cultural events and feastivals will be hosted during the fourth annual Crooked Road’s Mountains of Music Homecoming, an annual nine-day, region-wide celebration of the the traditional music, culture and natural assets of communities throughout southwestern Virginia.
The event includes Crooked Road marquee concerts in over 20 communities and many dozens of cultural events throughout the region including many in and around Montgomery County.
Over nine days, “each night, visitors and residents will have from two to three Crooked Road marquee music concerts in 24 different communities to choose from in outdoor and indoor venues like downtown theatres, state parks, colleges, and arts centers,” said a Mountains of Music press release.
Communities through southwest Virginia will present 100 cultural events presenting community meals, guided hikes, museum galley exhibits, artisan
demonstrations, jam sessions and many more.
The Feastival series pairs master chefs with master musicians and includes three mouth-watering farm-to-table dinner events fusing Appalachian cuisine, captivating stories of the region’s rich history, and after-dinner concerts.
