Marion Lanford Carper, 83, of Narrows, died Sunday, Sept. 8, 2024. He was born in Pearisburg, on June 15, 1941 to the late William and Frances Lugar Carper. Marion was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corp. He retired after over 55 years of cross-country truck driving.
He is survived by his wife, Donna Deran Carper; son, Elliott Leiberger; and several close cousins, Carol, Ann (Eddie), David (Joy), and Alan (Diane).
Funeral services were conducted Friday, Sept. 13, 2024 in the Level Green Christian Church with the Pastor Duane Wente officiating. Interment followed in the Ross Cemetery. The family received friends prior to the service.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
