The Associated General Contractors of Virginia presented a donation to Bud Foster’s Lunch Pail Defense Foundation on Thursday, April 27.

The donation will support a debt-free education option for area high school students, with an opportunity to pursue education in the construction industry. The foundation, created by retired, notable coach of Virginia Tech football Bud Foster, provides 38 academic scholarships to area high school students via the New River Community College ACCE program. This program offers students a debt-free educational option, with certificate opportunities such as construction technology and electrical-construction technology to prepare them for careers in the construction industry.
