RAAP annual emergency preparedness exercise today
The Radford Army Ammunition Plant will hold the second part of its annual emergency preparedness exercise on Saturday. The exercise will last from 7 a.m. – 5 p.m. on April 22.
Please be advised that on April 22 there will be an increase in emergency vehicles entering the plant from Route 114. Response personnel from surrounding communities will be practicing lifesaving skills.
Fundraiser for local in need of medical assistance April 29
A paint night fundraiser will be held from 5-8 p.m. April 29 for Randy Tuck, a Radford native who suffered an accident in September. Turner is a horse farrier and during the accident, a horse broke his leg and ankle, and Turner experienced a concussion. Come paint a picture or stop by and personally hand him a donation. Stencils will be provided for ease. Everyone is welcome. Please call to reserve a seat for $35. The fundraiser will take place at Selah Springs, 3320 Nolley Road in Riner.
