Gail Beaver Blankenship, 69, of Christiansburg, passed away Friday, Sept. 19, 2025, at Lewis Gale Montgomery Hospital. Gail was a fun-loving person with a heart of gold. Born June 23, 1956, she went to Auburn High School and grew up in Walton, riding and loving horses. Gail was a circulation manager at the News Messenger for several years. She loved playing poker and bingo and loved cooking.
Gail was preceded in death by her parents, Elbert Woodrow and Rachel Byrum Blankenship; and her sister and brother-in-law, Betty Blankenship Lytton (Roger).
Those left to survive Gail are her significant other, Eric Pack; her beloved feline companion, Little Girl; and many friends.
Per Gail’s request, a memorial service was held at 1703 Walton Road, in Christiansburg, on Sunday, September 28, 2025.
The friends and family of Gail are in the care of Mullins Funeral Home & Crematory in Radford.
