RADFORD – A group of Belle Heth Elementary School students have created a coloring book based on Radford and Glencoe Mansion and it’s available for sale.
“We’re pleased to announce the completion of the Glencoe coloring book by sixth graders from Belle Heth Elementary right here in Radford,” Glencoe announced. “Back in October, a group of students toured the site to get inspiration for their historically-themed coloring book. They came up with fun, imaginative and informative glimpses of Glencoe and Radford history. The inspiration for the coloring book came from Art Teacher Michelle Saunders who wanted her students to create with a purpose as her students learned new skills.”
“These coloring books are $2 each and make for a great little gift for kids to help them to continue engaging their curiosity in local history,” it continues. “All proceeds from the book sales at Glencoe go to help the museum. Sales through Belle Heth go to fund school activities. Come check out what our young creatives have come up with! (Pencils not included).”
