Virginia’s top rankings in spring sports has several local teams in the top five in almost every category.
The Auburn softball team is #2 in Class 1 with a 13-1 record, trailing top ranked Rappahannock who is 12-0 as of this past week. In Class 3, Christiansburg is #10 with Turner Ashby first and Cave Spring fourth.
In baseball, Cave Spring is #2 in Class 3 with Liberty Christian Academy at #1. Christiansburg is ranked seventh.
Lebanon leads Class 1 in baseball with Auburn #2, Narrows #3, Rural Retreat #6 and George Wythe in 13th.
The Blacksburg boys’ soccer team is ranked #1 in Class 4 with King George second. Blacksburg is ranked fourth in the overall soccer ranking across all classifications. Christiansburg is #8 in Class 3.
In Class 1, undefeated Galax is in first with Eastern Montgomery seventh and Auburn 13th.
The Blacksburg girls’ soccer team is ranked third in Class 4, while Christiansburg is eighth in Class 3.
Eastern Montgomery is first in the girls’ Class 1 soccer rankings.
