Players from Radford, CHS, Auburn and East Mont also get the nod

Katie Light led the Auburn High School girls’ soccer team to another state championship appearance, and Wednesday, she was named the Class 1 player of the year.
Her coach, Adam Ritchie, was named coach of the year in Class 1.
Light was joined on the first team by teammates, Logan Mundy, Kristen Pack, Jillian Tucker and Lucy George. Auburn’s Grace Harris was named to the second team.
Meanwhile in Class 2, Radford goalkeeper Hollybrook Cline was named to the first team for soccer with Lauren Owens and Kendall Carpenter being named to the second team.
In Class 2, the Radford boys’ squad was the state runner up, and four Cats were named to the all-state soccer team. Brody Shull, Enzo Pugliese, Eli Goff and Charlie Davis were all first teamers. Robert Fuksz was named to the second team.
Christiansburg’s Luca Pickeral and Sami Selfe were named to the Class 3 all-state first-team.
In Class 1, Auburn placed Jared Bradley and Nick Millirons on the first team with Eastern Montgomery’s Talen Bruce. Osman Amya of Eastern Montgomery was named to the second team.
