Atmos Energy announces new operations manager

Bernie Anderson recently became Atmos Energy’s Operation Manager of their east Tennessee and southwest Virginia service area; which includes the cities of: Johnson City, Kingsport, Maryville, Morristown, and Greeneville, Bristol TN/VA, Radford, Blacksburg and Christiansburg, VA service territories. The customer count for the entire service area under Anderson is over 79,000 customers.


Anderson will be responsible for all operations, community and customers efforts in the surrounding 12 county area. Anderson began his career with Atmos Energy in 2008 in Columbia, TN. Since then, he has served in various construction, service and supervisory positions, with his latest as Operation Supervisor in Shelbyville, KY.

Anderson, a Tennessee native, is active in his community serving on the Industrial, Chamber of Commerce and Kiwanis boards. Anderson and his family will be relocating to the Johnson City, TN area.
