Brad Harvey, a board member of the Radford City Schools Partners for Excellence Foundation, presents the deed to Arnheim to Radford City School Board Chairman Lee Slusher at a recent Radford City School Board meeting. The Partners for Excellence Foundation has overseen renovations to the home, which was originally built by Dr. John Blair Radford for whom the City of Radford was named. “Business and private donations made structural and first floor renovations possible for this Antebellum home,” according to a statement by the Foundation. “The Foundation will continue accepting contributions to complete the final stage of restoration. The school division, with input from Radford City Public Schools Superintendent Rob Graham, will determine the best academic use for the building.”
