BLACKSBURG – A man in Blacksburg was injured Wednesday evening after being struck in the head by the handle end of a machete.
Tommy Hilton, Sr., 53, was arrested for allegedly striking the unidentified 57-year-old victim after he asked Hilton to leave his property. According to Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office Captain Brian Wright, the call came in at 6:34 p.m. Wednesday reporting an assault in the 900 block of Jennelle Road.
“The initial information indicated that the victim, a 57-year-old male, had been struck in the head with a machete,” said Wright. “The incident began when he asked 53-year-old Tommy Hilton, Sr., to leave his property. Upon further investigation it appeared that during the argument Mr. Hilton had struck the victim in the head with the handle end of the machete.
