The Christiansburg Aquatic Center has locked up its calendar of events for December with a schedule of programs as follows:
Warm Water Move and Soothe (Mondays): 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., Mondays Nov. 30, Dec. 7, 14 and 21. The cost is $28 refundable and $38 non-refundable.
This warm water exercise program is designed for individuals with arthritic and mobility limitations. This class is for those whose goals include increasing strength, flexibility and range of motion in a relaxing and low impact atmosphere.
With a maximum enrollment of six, the class will be held in the therapy pool and will be taught by Jilliann Kowalcik. Because of limited and the class popularity, attendance is limited to one December session per person.
Rolling in the Deep: 9:15 a.m. to 10:15 a.m., Tuesdays and Thursdays, Dec. 1-22. The cost is $30 refundable and $40 non-refundable.
Participants will strap on an aqua belt and hop into the competition pool for this deep-water class. Those taking part in the class will need to bring an aqua belt and resistance gloves, though gloves are not required. Everyone can expect to perform aerobic exercises such as jogging and skiing to develop core strength.
The class has a maximum enrollment of 16 and will be taught by Jilliann Kowalcik.

Hydro Power Tuesdays: 5:45 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. on Tuesdays, Dec. 1, 8, 15 and 22. The cost is $20 refundable and $30 non-refundable.
This aqua class combines cardiovascular training and muscle conditioning through methods of interval training, abdominal work and muscle-enduring activities. These combinations provide a great workout in the leisure pool with the use of equipment such as pool noodles and water weights.
Maximum enrollment is 12, and the instructor is Jilliann Kowalcik.
Rise’n Shine Water Aerobics: 7 a.m. to 7:45 a.m. on Wednesdays, Dec. 2, 9, 16 and 23. The cost is $15 refundable and $25 non-refundable.
This is an early-morning class that will get everyone geared up for the work day. This aerobics class for the early risers lets everyone kick off the day energized.
Taught in the leisure pool by Jilliann Kowalcik, the maximum enrollment is 12.
Hydro Power Half Hour: 11:45 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. on Wednesdays, Dec. 2, 9, 16 and 23.
The cost is $10 refundable and $20 non-refundable.

This lunchtime aqua class combines cardiovascular training and muscle conditioning through methods of interval training, abdominal work, and muscle enduring activities. Participants can expect to break a sweat in this low-impact yet high-intensity workout.
Jilliann Kowalcik will lead the workout in the leisure pool with a maximum enrollment of 12.
Warm Water Move and Soothe (Thursdays): 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. on Thursdays, Dec. 3, 10 and 17.
The cost is $21 refundable and $31 non-refundable.

Aqua Yoga: 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. on Fridays, Dec. 4 and 18.
The cost is $14 refundable and $24 non-refundable.
Aqua Yoga utilizes the principles and movements of hatha yoga and adapts them to the water. The yoga poses practiced in this class will help participants develop strength and static balance and increase their range of motion. Beginners are welcome.
Taught in the therapy pool by Thea Vincent, the maximum enrollment is six.
