Zana Webb McCoy Albert, 94, of McCoy, died on Tuesday, Dec. 5, 2017. She was born in Sylvatus, Va. to the late Marion Franklin and Emma Ruth Lewis Webb. She was preceded in death by her brother Kelly Webb, her first husband, and father of her children, Lawrence McCoy, and her second husband Francis Albert.
Surviving are two daughters and a son-in-law, Julia (G.I.) Graham and Melissa Wohlford and husband Bill, son Lenwood McCoy, step-daughter Sheila Easter and husband Michael, brother and sisters-in-law Willis Webb and wife Virginia, Martha Webb, Susie Vest and Mary Pauley; step-sisters Eva Daniel and Mary Taylor; 7 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.
Zana retired from the Radford Army Ammunition Plant as a medical secretary and was always active in her church. She served as church pianist for more than 60 years. She also enjoyed hand crafts of all kinds and spent hours crocheting and knitting gifts for family members and friends.
The family would like to acknowledge and thank her caregiver Lois for such good care of her for the last 10 years. Also thanks to Alisha, another devoted caregiver, and the Good Samaritan Hospice.
Funeral will be today Dec. 9, at 1:00 p.m. at the Community Christian Church in McCoy with burial following in the Centennial Christian Church cemetery. The family will receive friends at the McCoy Funeral Home on Friday evening from 5-7 p.m. In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations in her memory to the Blue Ridge Christian Camp, PO Box 428, McCoy, Va. 24111.
