Ralph Wayne Akers of Dublin, 66, passed away Friday, Sept.15, 2017. He worked for Volvo Trucks in the engineering department, was an avid scuba and cave diver, a hunter, spelunker and fisherman, and was Vice President of the Highland Bass Cub.
Survivors include his wife, Patsy S. Akers; his sister, Karen Lynne Reynolds of Radford; and many other relatives and friends.
The family received friends on Sunday, Sept. 17, 2017 at the Mullins Funeral Home in Radford. A graveside service was held Sept. 18, 2017 at Highland Memory Gardens in Dublin with Rev. Lester Kennedy officiating.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made to the American Lung Association.
The Akers family is in the care of Mullins Funeral Home & Crematory.
