The National Weather Service is calling for cold temperatures to continue through this coming weekend and, therefore, the potential need for Appalachian Power to increase power generation at its hydroelectric plants to maintain the reliability of the regional electric grid will correspondingly continue.
The potential for water levels to increase downstream of Claytor Dam may continue to fluctuate throughout the weekend and into the beginning of next week.
