Intersport, organizers of the Greenbrier Tip-Off, have announced the participating teams and matchups for the event’s 2025 River Division.

Games are scheduled for Nov. 15 and 16 inside Colonial Hall at The Greenbrier, the historic resort in Lewisburg, West Virginia.

Cleveland State, Kent State, Radford and Wright State make up the four-team River Division field, joining the previously announced Mountain Division and the West Virginia Duke women’s basketball contest to round out the 2025 Greenbrier Tip-Off lineup. Each of the four River Division programs will play two games over the course of the two-day event. Mountain Division games will take place Nov. 21 and 23 and the West Virginia-Duke tilt is Nov. 14.

Greenbrier Tip-off River Division schedule:

Nov. 15- Cleveland State vs. Kent state at 1 p.m. and Wright State vs. Radford at 3:30 p.m.

Nov. 16- Kent State vs. Wright State at noon and Cleveland State vs. Radford at 2:30 p.m.

Tickets for the Greenbrier Tip-Off River Division will go on sale Sept. 17 with a 24-hour presale set for Sept. 16 at www.greenbriertipoff.com.

Now in its second year, the Greenbrier Tip-Off has quickly emerged as one of college basketball’s most distinctive early-season events. Hosted in the intimate Colonial Hall with a seating capacity of just 1,000, the Tip-Off blends high-level competition with the unmatched southern hospitality and historic charm of The Greenbrier.

Even after just one season, national brands have aligned themselves with the high-profile nature of the Greenbrier Tip-Off, including prominent partners Skechers, Pepsi and O’Reilly Auto Parts.

About the teams of the Greenbrier Tip-Off River Division:

Led by first year head coach and former CSU assistant (2019-22), Rob Summers takes over a Cleveland State program that undertook a major roster flip in the offseason. Formerly an assistant at Missouri, Summers will lead an entirely new Vikings squad into the 2025-26 season. During his first stretch with the program, Summers helped the Vikings to one Horizon League championship and its first NCAA Tournament berth since 2009.

Coached by Rob Senderoff—the winningest coach in program history—Kent State enters Senderoff’s 15th season at the helm following a 24–12 campaign (11–7 MAC). He is one of just four active Division I coaches with 10 or more seasons who has never had a losing year (minimum 10 years coached). Senderoff has led the Golden Flashes to multiple 20-win seasons and NCAA Tournament appearances, including a MAC title in 2023. Junior guard Cian Medley started 26 games last season, averaging 7.6 points and a team-best 4.1 assists per game. Delrecco Gillespie also returns after starting 20 games and averaging 8.1 points and 8.1 rebounds per contest.

Radford is led by first-year head coach Zach Chu, who takes over the program after serving as Chief Strategist at SMU last season. The roster features several new additions, including Jaylon Johnson, a transfer from Tennessee Tech who started 32 games and led his team with 14.3 points per game en route to earning All-OVC First Team honors. Brennan Rigsby, a transfer from Minnesota, also joins the Highlanders after appearing in 29 games with 10 starts for the Golden Gophers.

Wright State enters the 2025–26 season under second-year head coach Clint Sargent, a former standout at South Dakota State and longtime Wright State assistant under former head coach Scott Nagy. The Raiders return a solid core led by graduate forward Michael Imariagbe, who started 18 games and averaged 6.7 points and 4.8 rebounds per game last season. Logan Woods, a redshirt junior guard who started 25 games last year, provides perimeter shooting after connecting on 46.1% from three-point range while averaging just over six points per game. Sam Alamutu, a graduate transfer from Vermont and three-time NCAA Tournament participant, averaged 5.6 points and 6.5 rebounds per game last season, establishing himself as one of the top rebounding guards in the country.

Matchups for the entire Greenbrier Tip-Off Mountain Division have been revealed, featuring a quartet of contests that will feature power conference programs Virginia, Northwestern, Butler and South Carolina competing inside Colonial Hall at The Greenbrier on Nov. 21 and 23.

The event begins on Nov. 21 with Northwestern taking on Virginia and Butler facing South Carolina and will conclude Nov. 23 when Butler battles Virginia and Northwestern clashes with South Carolina. All four games of the Mountain Division will be televised on CBS Sports Network, with tip times officially being announced in the coming months.
