RADFORD – Community Life Church in Radford is once again providing 100,000 meals to people in need and the church is looking for some assistance from the public.
Community Life still needed to raise about $4,000 to reach its goal of $29,000 as of Monday afternoon to provide the 100,000 meals for a community in Ecuador, as they have in the past for Nicaragua.
“We are continuing our partnership with Kids Around the World to pack and send meals to a community in Ecuador called Jaboncillo,” said Hannah Burnette, children’s pastor for Community Life Church. “Our goal is to raise $29,500, which will provide enough ingredients to pack 100,000 meals. We would also like the community to help pack the meals on December 13 and 14 at Community Life Church in Radford.”
“Each meal costs 29.5 cents,” added Pastors Rod and Renee Hidalgo in a written announcement. “When you donate, these kids will receive nutritious meals – vitamins, veggies, rice, and lentils. Please give whatever you can. No amount is too small, and your gift is tax-deductible. One of the things we strongly believe in around CLife is going beyond the walls of our church to make a real difference in our world. To whom much is given, much is required, and God has richly blessed us.”
