Blacksburg United Methodist Church recently presented a check for $1,000 to The Women’s Resource Center of the New River Valley, located in Radford.
The Women’s Resource Center of the NRV, the oldest in Virginia, is a non-profit, human service organization, providing programs and services to adult and child victims of sexual and domestic violence in the New River Valley.
“We strongly support the Women’s Resource Center’s mission to give the gift of hope and unity to victims and survivors from all walks of life,” said Dick Arnold, BUMC SERVE Coordinator. “We join with them in working towards a common vision of a community free of sexual and domestic violence.”
SERVE is the missions outreach ministry of Blacksburg United Methodist Church. We provide guidance, promotion, and assistance to programs that—through words and deeds—continually show the love of Jesus at home, in our community and in the world.
