A home run from Radford High School senior Kira Rollins sealed the win for the Bobcats this past week in their final home game of the season.
Radford tied the game in the bottom of the second after Kathryn Price singled, stole second base, advanced to third on a wild pitch and scored on an error. Radford added two more runs in the bottom of the fifth with Kira Rollins solo homerun and exceptional base running from Addie Saunders who stole both second and third on a wild pitch and scored on a sacrifice fly.
Quinn Burton finished seven innings for the win, only allowing five hits on the night.
Blacksburg claims win over Hidden Valley
This past Friday, Blacksburg held on for a 13-9 victory over Hidden Valley. Katey Mathena led the way with four hits including a HR.
Maddie Williams and Brynn Ferguson followed up with three hits of their own. Evelyn Rhoads hit a home run as well. Aubrey Hudgins, Lindsey Polan and Natalie Green added two hits each. Evelyn Rhoads pitched 4 1/3 innings striking out seven.
