The Virginia Mortgage Relief Program (VRMP) helps homeowners experiencing pandemic-related financial hardship and need assistance.
Financial hardship can be due to job loss/business closure, reduction in hours or pay, difficulty obtaining new employment, death of a spouse or co-borrower, or increased expenses due to the pandemic. Increased expenses could be due to health care, the need to care for a family member, increased childcare costs due to school closures, or increased costs associated with quarantine.
Homeowners needing assistance, and who meet the program criteria, are encouraged to apply as quickly as possible as funding is limited. Eligible applications will be processed on a first-come, first-served basis after VMRP reviews and confirmation of eligibility, with applicants at risk of foreclosure taking priority. Learn more.
Applicants with questions can VMRP Call Center at 833-OUR-VMRP (833-687-8677), Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. ET. Applications can be submitted online or through the VMRP Call Center.
