Ronald Stafford Alls, 83, of Blacksburg, went to be with the Lord Saturday, Feb. 24, 2024. 

He was born in Blacksburg April 23, 1940, to the late Mark Redmond and Opal Stafford Alls. He was also preceded in death by his daughter, Vickie Alls McClintock; granddaughter, Kristen McClintock; great-granddaughter, Blakely Compton. 

He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force, and retired from Virginia Tech Crops, Soils, and Environmental Sciences, with over 30 years of service. Ronald and Becky loved to travel and volunteer at the Blacksburg Food Pantry. Ronald also loved restoring classic cars, and baseball. He was a member of Blacksburg Christian Church (Disciples of Christ), where he served as a Deacon. 

He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Becky Alls; daughters and sons-in-law, Jody Alls Compton, Kathy and Chris Watters, Karen and Greg Cook; grandchildren, Jennifer Robosson (Ralph), Eric Compton (Leslie), Amanda Adams (Patrick), Marcus Ilardo (Lydia), Lauren Potts (Dustin), Katie Watters, Susan Watters; great-grandchildren, Christian, Abby, Izzy, Lori Lynn, Judah, Clark, Aurora; sister, Phyllis Price; brother and sister-in-law, Curtis and Betsy Alls; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

A funeral service was held Wednesday, Feb. 28, 2024 in the McCoy Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor J.B. Beane and Pastor Gary McCoy officiating. Interment followed at Westview Cemetery. The family received friends prior to the service at McCoy Funeral Home. 

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Blacksburg Christian Church, Blacksburg Rescue Squad, and/or Blacksburg Interfaith Food Pantry.
