Radford News Journal reader Rebecca Harris, of Radford, submitted her photo “Once in a blue moon,” a beautiful daytime full moon photo. According to Space.com, February’s Full Snow Moon on Saturday occurred “while the moon approached its farthest point from Earth in its orbit, known as apogee. That means the full moon appeared up to 10% smaller in the night sky — not enough for most of us to notice, but seasoned moonwatchers were able to tell the difference.”
