Nancy Bell has been named President of the Virginia Rural Health Association.
Bell, Population Health Manager for the West Piedmont Health District (WPHD), assumed the role in January.
Rural health has been the focus of Bell’s work since she joined the Virginia Department of Health in 2016 serving Franklin, Henry and Patrick counties and the City of Martinsville. She has been responsible for leading community health assessments and improvement planning aimed at the needs of rural citizens and for implementing grant-funded programs to address those needs.
Bell is a graduate of Radford University (BA, 1982) and Duke University’s Nonprofit Management program (2010).
