Gertrude Thomas Simpson, 93, of Dublin, (formerly of Belspring) passed away at her home Saturday, Jan. 13, 2024. Gertrude was a beloved wife, mother and grandmother (MawMaw).
She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Maude Thomas; husband of 58 years, Thomas William Simpson; son, Thomas William Simpson, Jr.; grandson, Brian Simpson; and siblings, Thelma Foss, Mary Jane Heldreth, and Frank Thomas, Jr.
Survivors include daughters, Sandra Joseph and Jackie Payne; five grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-granddaughter; and many other relatives and friends.
The family would like to thank Intrepid Hospice staff for their care and compassion.
Graveside services were held Thursday, Jan. 18, 2024, at West View Cemetery in Radford with Rev. Marcus Harrison officiating.
The Simpson family is in the care of Mullins Funeral Home & Crematory in Radford.
