Ohio authorities say a 74-year-old Christiansburg woman fell 40-50 feet last week to her death at Mill Creek Park near Lanterman’s Mill.
According to authorities, Renee Moye was involved in an accident near the west of the side of a water area when she fell into a ravine below.
Mill Creek MetroParks Police Chief Randy Campana said Moye was passing through the park on a hike with her granddaughter before she fell. According to Youngstown fire Capt. Chad Manchester, she slipped and fell around 11:25 a.m. Police also added that the young woman with her called “more than twice” to get assistance.
Moye was found lying on rocks, and leaning on a tree. According to police, Moye had lost a shoe on the way down and branches from the tree she fell against were broken from about 12 and 15-feet off the ground. The shoe was found about 15 yards from where she was lying, along with a small brown purse laying by her feet.
