Wendell William Turpin, 79, of Radford, passed away Thursday, Jan. 5, 2023, at the VA Hospital in Salem.
He was a member of Cornersview Pentecostal Holiness Church and was a U. S. Army veteran, having served during the Vietnam War. He was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret S. Turpin; his parents, Roy and Alice Turpin; his son, Mark Allen Turpin; his daughter, Lisa Gail Turpin; three brothers, and two sisters.
Survivors include his sons, Anthony William Turpin and Timothy Andrew Turpin (Kim Shelor); grandchildren Matthew William Turpin (Nikki Gland-Turpin) and Taylor Renee Turpin; great-grandchildren Sutton and Finn; brothers Barry Turpin and Jerry Turpin; a sister, Brenda Andrews; and many other relatives and friends.
The family received friends on Monday, Jan. 9, 2023, at the Mullins Funeral Home in Radford. Funeral services were on Tuesday, Jan. 10, 2023, at the funeral home with Pastor Frankie Graham officiating. Interment with full military honors followed in the Appalachian Conference Grounds in Dublin.
