Karla Shepherd Fisher, a beloved daughter, mother and NaNa, left us unexpectedly at her home.
Karla is survived by her father, Donald Shepherd; a daughter, Leanna Fisher; a son, Jonathon Carroll; and grandsons JJ Carroll and Kaysen Richardson.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Patsy Shepherd, and her brother, Billy Shepherd.
Karla was born on Feb. 18, 1968, in Illinois. She was an avid outdoor person who loved spending most of her time at the river or hiking in the mountains. She was described as being happy, spunky, loving, generous and the funniest person anyone could ever meet. She always kept a smile on people’s faces, and she will be missed more than she could ever know.
Visitation took place Sunday, Nov. 22, 2020, at McCoy Funeral Home. A graveside service followed at New Mt. Zion Lutheran Church Cemetery.
