The Virginia Tech football team is back on the field today, Nov. 21, as they travel to Pittsburgh to play ACC-foe Pitt. Kickoff is set for 4 p.m. ET and will be broadcast on ACCN.
The Hokies enter the game at 4-4 (3-4) after a narrow 25-24 loss to then-ninth-ranked Miami.
Also 4-4 and 3-4 in the league, Pitt comes into today’s game following an open date Saturday after postponing their contest against Georgia Tech. Last time on the field, Pitt defeated Florida State 41-17 in Tallahassee. In that game, quarterback Kenny Pickett completed 21 of 27 passes for 210 yards and the Panthers ran for four rushing touchdowns.

GAME NOTES
Virginia Tech is coming off a 25-24 loss vs. No. 9 Miami (11/14) meaning Tech’s last two losses have come by a combined four points to a pair of AP Top 25 foes.
Three of Tech’s four losses have come against opponents ranked in the AP Top 25 when the contest was played.
Pitt’s contest at Georgia Tech was originally slated for Nov. 14, but has been rescheduled for Dec. 12.
Pitt’s most recent game was a 41-17 win at FSU (11/7).
The Hokies are 3-1 vs. Pitt under head coach Justin Fuente.
Tech is seeking to register three or more ACC road wins for the fourth time under Fuente (2016, 2018 and 2019).
VT is 1-5 at Heinz Field with that lone win coming by a 39-36 count at Pitt (10/27/16) under Fuente.
After starting the season 3-0, Pitt suffered a pair of one-point losses vs. NC State (10/3) and at BC (10/10) in back-to-back weeks during a four-game losing streak.
Tech enjoys a Thanksgiving bye next week before home contests vs. Clemson (12/5) and UVA (12/12).
