Swing ‘fore’ persons with intellectual disabilities

The 23rd annual golf classic at Blacksburg Country Club. All proceeds benefit the International Development Association. IDA is community-based and is funded by the area United Way and local donations. IDA serves children and adults in the NRV and provides inclusive social, recreational, transportation, and educational activities, as well as advocacy. Opportunities to achieve a balanced life, increase self-esteem and confidence, socialize, exercise, have family respite, and practice appropriate social skills are just a few examples of benefits gained in IDA’s programs/activities. Your support is vital in helping meet the needs of friends, family, and neighbors. Because of COVID 19, the IDA has not been able to have its fundraisers, and that has cost IDA more than $20,000 that won’t be made up in 2020. So the golf tournament fundraiser is critical to the IDA budget.
