“Steam locomotive pulling into Radford” by Joyce Sims

Glencoe Mansion, Museum and Gallery is hosting a gallery show, “What Makes Radford Special,” featuring the works of the Radford Photo Club.

The show began Tuesday, July 14, and will continue through Sept. 6. Due to ongoing safety precautions, there was no opening reception.

The works of the Radford Photo Club have captured just some of the many elements that make Radford a special place. From its historic treasures to its people and from the railroad to the university, the photo club members have assembled for this show an eclectic collection of images that speak of Radford and its uniqueness.

“Tubing by the Trestle” by Edward Rhett

The photographers featured in the show are Joyce Crowder, Lucy Gilmore, Rebecca Harris, Edward Rhett, Deborah Ring, Elizabeth Sensabaugh, Joyce Sims, Brian Smith, Susan Trulove and Linda Waggaman.

The Glencoe Mansion is closed Sundays and Mondays through August 3. Beginning August 4, the museum will be open every day except Mondays.
