Actress Morgan Fairchild purchases local artist’s paintings

This wildflower painting is one of three works by Kendall Kessler recently purchased by actress Morgan Fairchild.

Paintings by local professional artist and former Radford University adjunct assistant Professor of Art Kendall Kessler were recently purchased by actress Morgan Fairchild. 

Fairchild signed up on Kessler’s website to receive newsletters and then contacted Kessler on her email account, saying she loved her work, and purchased three wildflower paintings.


Morgan Fairchild

Fairchild’s many television credits include Friends, Dallas, Flamingo Road, Paper Dolls, Falcon Crest, and the mini-series North and South. Her movies include Pee Wee’s Big Adventure, The Seduction, and Red-Headed Stranger with Willie Nelson. Through the years, Fairchild has also appeared in various theater productions, most recently in the role of Mrs. Robinson in the stage adaptation of the film The Graduate. Recent TV movies include A Date by Christmas Eve for Lifetime Channel and Perfect On Paper for Hallmark Channel.


Kendall Kessler

Kessler is an award winning professional artist and former Asst. Professor of Art at Radford University who taught various classes in the art department and the interior design department and also was the Director of the Flossie Martin Art Gallery for one year. She has artwork in private collections in 32 states, Washington D.C., Canada, Germany, Russia, Australia, Switzerland, and England. Her paintings were also in two group shows on Broadway. She primarily creates large impasto oil paintings, but also works in pastels. Her art has been exhibited throughout the United States, and she has won local, national and international awards in both mediums, including awards from Dorothy Gillespie, May Stevens, Frank Webb, and Daniel Greene.
