Downtown Blacksburg, Inc., has named Snyder & Associates as its Business Member of the Month for February.
Georgia Anne Snyder-Falkinham is owner and president of Snyder & Associates, a general contractor that is a leader in the Virginia building industry. She started the company in 1985. Synder-Falkinham has been a resident of Blacksburg1967 and was married to Peter Snyder of Snyder-Hunt, who helped develop Terrace View Apartments and Hethwood Community. Her son, Michael Snyder, joined the company in 1995 with a degree in residential property management from Virginia Tech.
Snyder & Associates has worked on many projects the Blacksburg community sees every day.
The mother-and-son duo recently received approval from the county to construct an extensive new development known as Westhill along Prices Fork Road. The company has renovated and developed projects such as; The Alexander Black House, Wonder Universe, the Merryman Center at Virginia Tech, the Vistas and Vista Point and the Kipps Farm subdivision.
