NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING ON THE PROPOSED ISSUANCE OF UP TO $4,000,000 PRINCIPAL AMOUNT OF CITY OF RADFORD GENERAL OBLIGATION BOND ANTICIPATION NOTES FOR THE PURPOSE OF FINANCING THE DESIGN, ACQUISITION, CONSTRUCTION, EXPANSION, RENOVATION AND EQUIPPING OF CITY OF RADFORD PUBLIC SCHOOL FACILITIES

Notice is hereby given that the Radford City Council will hold a public hearing in the City Council Chambers, located in the City Administration Building at 10 Robertson Street, Radford, Virginia, on October 28, 2019, during a regular meeting of the City Council at 7:00 p.m. or as soon thereafter as the matter may be called on the agenda, concerning the proposed issuance by the City of its general obligation bond anticipation notes (the “Notes”).  The maximum principal amount of the Notes is estimated to be $4,000,000 and the purpose of and proposed use for which more than ten percent of the proceeds of the Notes is to be used is to finance capital costs related to the design, acquisition, construction, expansion, renovation and equipping of City of Radford public school facilities, including the renovation and expansion of McHarg Elementary School, and also including costs of issuance of the Notes.  The Notes will be secured by the full faith and credit of the City of Radford.  Persons may appear and present their views at the public hearing.  For disabled individuals who may require special auxiliary aids or services, reasonable accommodations will be made available by the City of Radford upon request at least five (5) days in advance of the public hearing.  For such accommodation or additional information, please contact the City Manager’s office at
